This includes all record keeping, meetings, travel costs and external supervision. Report writing as required.

Half day package:

As part of a Half Day package, I spend a morning or an afternoon in school providing either 1 group session and 1 individual session or 2/ 3 individual sessions. This includes all record keeping, meetings, travel costs and external supervision. Report writing as required.

Parents and Carers

Private therapy sessions:

I carry out private therapy work working with children and families in Cardiff and South Wales. The length of the play therapy intervention depends on the child’s needs, which are assessed on meeting the child following the hour-long initial parent consultation. At least 12 sessions of direct work are recommended for sustained change in addition to mid point and end reviews.

The cost of these sessions can be discussed on request and includes all record keeping, external supervision, travel costs and equipment. Report writing as required.

If play therapy does not seem suitable as an intervention, alternative options can be explored.

PARENT-CHILD ATTACHMENT PLAY (PCAP):

I am a licensed PCAP practitioner and offer Parent-Child Attachment Play to parents and carers wishing to strengthen their connection to their child.

Parent-Child Attachment Play (PCAP) is an innovative and flexible early help model delivered over around 10 weeks aimed at children aged 3 to late teens. PCAP is based on the Play Therapy model and recognises the importance of play in the development of key skills required for forming a secure parent-child attachment. It can be offered to both neurotypical and neurodiverse children and adapted according to the child’s need.

Parents/ carers work work the practitioner in a one to one or group-based setting. Once confident and ready, the parent/carer creates a small mini play or activity kit to enjoy at home with their child. During this short and ring-fenced period, parents/carers practise the new skills they have gained. Over time, these skills are transferred to problematic areas of family life.
